ManSound is going on a concert tour to the best Estonian concert-halls from the 20th till 25th of January. This would be the fourth visit of the group to the Estonia. The main theme of the tour would be presentation of the CD “Voyage”. You may see the schedule on the page “Concerts”.

Charity performance “They need your help” with Masound’s participation will be held on the 14th of November in the National philharmonic theatre.

Charity performance “They need your help”
by the World Day of the Struggle against Diabetes.
The 14th of November is the World Day of Struggle against Diabetes (Resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization on December 20th, 2006). On this day the charity performance “They need your help” by initiative of Energobank will be held in the National Ukrainian Philharmonic theatre.
The concert is held as a part of “Help to children with diabetes” program. “ManSound” and
the instrumental trio “Bogolubov’s three jazz voices” will participate in this event. Talented children with diabetes will participate with professional bands in the gig. Also three presentations will take place at this event: exhibition of photos by O. Kritorchuk, new ManSounds CD “Voyage” and CD «My Cool & Crazy World» of young jazz pianist O. Bogolubov.
The host of the concert is the famous Ganna Bezulik.
The aim of the performance is to spread the idea of charity in Ukrainian society, to pay attention of people to diabetes problem, to collect donations from Ukrainian and foreign people and organizations to the children with diabetes.
The VIP and the public persons, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine, state and business managers are invited to the concert.
Sponsorship and charity is a bank’s responsibility for the society. Energobank along with the endocrinology department of “Okhmadit hospital”and the “Ukrainian Association of children endocrinologists” realize the program “Help to children with diabetes” (they provide with modern treatment children with serious diabetes under age of three) since 2007 .

The press conference will be held in the “RIA-news” information agency (3 Stanislavskogo str., 2nd storey, the entrance, which is opposite to the Franko’s theatre) on the October 15th at 12:00 p.m. The press conference will be devoted to the third international vocal a’capella festival named after Vladimir Mihnovetsky’s name “VOCAL ZONE -2008”.
The third international vocal a’capella festival “VOCAL ZONE” will take place on the October 15th 2008 and still remains an unique vocal festival not only for Ukraine but for all the countries of the former USSR. Two previous festivals were very successful and the best 10 a’cappella groups from Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, Poland, Holland and Germany had participated in.
The third a’cappella festival “Vocal Zone” will extent the format and the scope of the participants:
• BR6 – vocal sextet from hot and far away Brazil. They have received the world recognition already long ago and have successfully performed in Europe and in the USA.
• Perpetuum Jazzile – jazz-vocal, a Slovenian presentation image. Jazz-choir is popular not only in Slovenia but also widely abroad.
• ManSound (Ukraine) –the leading vocal Ukrainian brand. The group has received recognition of the musical critics and the listeners in Europe, Asia and America. They are the organizers and sponsors of the first Vocal Zone a’capella festival in the post-soviet countries.

If all the angels of the Heaven suddenly caught a cold on October 15th and the listed Vocal Zone groups start singing instead of them we suppose no one would notice the replacement. We don’t know how the angels sing, but the music of our participants is really divine.
Music definitely - because what will sound at International culture and art centre soon can’t be defined in any other words. But this is still not enough: as human voice is flexible, vibrant and vivid, there are no names and terms to identify it. So we are not going to do it. We just invite all the fans of a’cappella to visit the third international a`cappella festival named after Vladimir Mihnovetsky’s name – VOCAL ZONE.
Two successful Vocal Zone festivals made it obvious that this tradition will not only continue, but also will be growing and developing along with their main founders – famous Ukrainian sextet ManSound. This band is one of the most favourite ones together with Swingle Singers or New York Voices for all fans of a’capella.
A`cappella merited love and respect in all countries of the world since this is a unique genre that you cannot be indifferent about. The music that is being created without any use of strings, bows and keys provoke inexpressible emotions: it is unbelievable what human voice is capable of, how diverse, virtuous and deep it can be.
And VOCAL ZONE still remains the unique vocal festival not only in Ukraine but all over the countries of the former USSR. Here you can plunge into this wonderful and fascinating world – music world of human voice.
This year except for the ManSound, the following guests from abroad will take participate: Brazilians BR6 and the band from Slovenia - jazz-choir Perpetuum Jazzile, wich makes the format of the festival more wider. Also there will be the presentation of new ManSound’s album “Voyage” – hard but joyful and pleasant work. The group is glad to share it with their listeners from the stage.

Perpetuum Jazzile – jazz-vocal Slovenian visit card. Jazz-choir is popular not only in Slovenia but also abroad. This band has a tournament all over the world, receives the golden medals (i.e. Perpetuum Jazzile has received two golden medals recently at the worldwide choir festival World Choir Games, which took place in Austria this year) and got a lot of new fans. Perpetuum Jazzile – this is a vocal band or more definitely jazz-choir. Perpetuum Jazzile will turn 25 this year. His founder is Tomaž Kozlevèar, who is also an art director of the group. Definetly thanks to him the choir has turned out to be what it is now:the world famous band, which performs in the USA and in many European countries. Genre of PJ is a combination of vocal jazz and popular music, repertoire represents traditional jazz, brazil bossa-nova, sving, fank, gospel, pop music. Choir charmes its listeners by wonderful soloist’s voices and general warmth, friendly atmosphere which is always present at their performances.
BR6 – vocal sextet (five men and one woman) from faraway Brazilia. They have received a wide recognition long ago and successfully gave the performances in Europe and USA. The band was founded in 2000 and the first popularity has come to them when they have released their first album in 2004. Album has received a number of awards. BR6 has become famous as an original and distinctive vocal band, combining in their music vocal national tradition with their own creative work. The repertoire of BR6 has formed under the influence of many different vocal groups – for example Take 6, who has changed an idea of the vocal music at the beginning of 90th. However, this would be wrong to say that they are just imitators; everything is quite contrary. The band amazingly combines traditions and innovations, which make their music like nothing on earth. Their repertoire consists of national Brazilian melodies, samba elements, bossa-nova, pop and jazz music. Each BR6’s composition is filled by special warm and sunny atmosphere, that makes impossible not to feel and moreover not to love it.
ManSound – this band does not need an introduction. They are the leading Ukrainian and post-Soviet vocal group, participants of the international jazz festivals. The members are high-level professionals. ManSound was found by Vladimir Mikhnovetsky in 1994.The group has proved in Ukraine, in the countries of the former USSR and then all over the world that the native music is not worse than the European one. The evidence of it is the number of the international medals and awards: the nomination in the category “Best vocal group” in the All American Entertainment Awards in 2001 (USA), Grand Prix on international a’cappella competition «Vokal Total» in 2002(Austria) and many others. The repertoire of the Kiev’s sextet is unbelievably broad and includes the jazz standards, gospel but the main nugget are Slavic folk songs, performed in original and unexpected arrangements. Each ManSound’s performance is magic event dedicated to unusual richness and virtuosity of the human voice that demonstrate everyone in famous sextet.

We are happy to announce the release of our new album in November 2008. The CD named VOYAGE will be release by COMP Music/EMI and will be the longest album in the ManSound discography; it will comprise 15 tracks and 1 bonus track.
